The district’s annual merit festival, held in the sixth month of the Lanna calendar
The Phra That Phu Sang homage festival is held in the sixth month of the Lanna calendar (around March). The whole district climbs the hill to bathe the stupa, with a procession bearing the cloth to wrap it, folk performances, and a food market running across both days.
It is the busiest the hilltop temple gets all year.
